Found an interesting site belonging to medical doctor, Ed Friedlander, MD. Dr. Friedlander defends the sport of boxing with his medical opinion and his opinion of the research and studies cited in the 1997 American Academy of Pediatrics' Committee on Sports Medicine and Fitness policy statement condemning the sport of boxing. Pretty interesting reading.

AMATEUR boxing is the stepping stone to Pro boxing. It gives experience and foundation to 99% of every world champion. Probably all with the exception of less than 5.
