This lad I've written about is a great prospect -

Any other amateurs we should be looking out for lads? Anyone from your neck of the woods?

Will look out for Doran, he sounds a right handful..

Hey Terry a local Brummie talent Antonio Counihan went to ireland and beat Moylett only three months ago at just 17.TerribleTerry wrote:Not from my neck of the woods but I am intruiged to learn more about Ray Moylett - recent gold medalist at the World Youth Championships

I am well out of touch with the amateur scene these days in all honesty.
What about Tommy Costello's kid brother? How is he coming on in the vest?
Always good to hear about young Brummies on the rise!
Re: Next big thing
Yeh joes a great talent doing well,Antonio is going from strength to strength beat Moylett in an England Ireland match,Then captained England at the Nia a few weeks ago. When his german opponent got sick they offered to fly moylett in for a rematch but the sent 20 year old Eamonn finnegan instead whod had a commonwealth silver and Counihan dropped him and beat him on points .Real quality kid who deserves all his success.
Antonio is with eastside his Dad and a few other guys opened the club about 10 months ago, very good club doing well.

I really looked forward to seeing his debut on the ITV4 Irish card late last year.Deserter wrote:Steve Barnes - http://www.britishboxing.net/news_3965- ... thing.html
ITV, in their eternal wisdom, treated us to approximately 5 seconds of the fight
Gutted.
When is he 18 so he can box in the UK?
Re: Next big thing
Yeh, I couldn't believe that either - they had a great chance to hype a young prospect on his debut and bottled it.TerribleTerry wrote:I really looked forward to seeing his debut on the ITV4 Irish card late last year.Deserter wrote:Steve Barnes - http://www.britishboxing.net/news_3965- ... thing.html

As for when he's 18, I don't know to be honest mate.
