The weak £- GOOD news for British boxers

Because they will get more work.
It has hard to get your head round, but think like this-
A British promotor needs some opponents to fill his undercard. A European Joureyman will do it for 800 Euro.
12 months ago, that was about £600. Now it is £800! So, if the promotor's budget is in £ then European and American fighters are going to cost more to book. "Cheap" foreign imports are not nearly as cheap as they were, so it might simply be cheaper to book domestic fighters.
The flip side is an Italian promotor might want some opponents- suddenly British fighters being paid in £ are a lot cheaper. A British fighter who wants £1000 will cost an Italian promotor 1000 of his Euros, whereas last year he would have cost him 1400 Euros.
