this is surely the way for sky to go, customers all have the access to every service, but signal is released via a pin code and you are billed for what you watch and not the shower of shit that you sign up for.

a couple of quid for friday fight night etc. in essence everything would be PPV apart from sky digital broadcast terrestrial tv.

They have had my money for SKY SPORTS for 7 years..

Sorry to hijack but on a similar themse I posted a topic on SKY player recently and nobody replied! Anyone know anything about it?

I think it would be quite hard to set up.... cause surely Sky would think of the thousands of people who don't have Sky Sports. Would you have to pay for every programme you watch, and what about live programmes that change the schedule - how can you sort that out? and what about the boxing on ITV 4 - which you are watching via Sky digital... who gets the cash there?

It might work for Sky Sports - and I think it would be a great idea.

They already have it. Once a month they demand payment, and we have to pay it. If we don't we get a letter saying:

We are sorry, we appear not to have received your last payment. We are sure you want to continue watching Sky TV, so we advise you pay within ten days. If you do not pay we will suspend your viewing pleasure, and when you want it switched back on we will transfer you to a guy who is clearly Indian, clearly does not have English as a first language, and improbably calls himself Albert Smith. Albert will then make a complete arse of your reinstatement and you will have to phone back four hours later and speak to a Scottish guy, who will efficiently and quickly sort the problem out, then we will fire Jock McAberdeen, and hire more Indian Albert's.
