Is Wladimir Klitschko scared of David Haye?
It seems that way.He is talking about taking on two non-entities instead who have absolutely no chance of beating him.I think he is weary of Hayes speed and power.Lets be honest. If Haye lands flush, Wlad will go over, and I think Haye will beat him to the punch. It will be like the Corrie Saunders fight all over again.

Re: Is Wladimir Klitschko scared of David Haye?
I certainly believe both the Klitchko's are wary of him - whether scared is the right word is another matter.
However, in addition, both of the brothers are astute business men, and I firmly believe that there will be a continuing attempt to keep this / these fights in the melting pot by over hyping the event, and getting the PR machine in full throttle before the fight/fights is/are signed.
I am however convinced at least one will take place.
Which brother it is I wouldn't like to say.
I was however very concerned about the comments come from thev Russian's camp, querying David's people's abilities to negotiate around the "big table".

Yeah, I noted those comments as well, however, I wonder whether its the klitschko's, who know full well that they have a stranglehold on the division (owning three of the belts) so are playing hardball, and therefore haye's team are up against it in this regards. I actually have a soft spot for both Wladimir and Vitali, as they always seem very bright and approachable, but I think they are not keen to rush into the ring with haye.I am quite stuck by what Adam Booth said a while back -that David Haye has hurt everyone he has boxed -be it amateur, sparring partners (often heavyier than him) or in the paid ranks, so definitely like his chances.

Haye has to take the short end, otherwise he's being ridiculous. Haye is my favourite fighter but I don't like the way he is overvaluing himself before he's even done much at HW...

How do you know he's "overvalued" himself ?
If you're aware of the purse figures offered by both sides, please let us in on it.

Of course Wladimir is afraid of David Haye. The last time he faced a quick handed puncher he was decked 6 times and out in 2 rds.
When you opt out of a David Haye fight in favour of a jiggling lardbelly like Chris Arreola who has beaten not one fighter of any consequence you're essentially saying you're scared to frickin death.

They are wary but they also know without them Haye is up shitcreek without a padel, who will he make good money against now? They are probably used to dictating 10% purses to challengers and Haye thinks hes worth more, which he is but he needs them more than they need him even if he does bring big bucks to the table he also brings big risk which they want adequate compensation
Maybe the longer haye waits the better as both will be on the slide being the wrong side of 30

Re: Is Wladimir Klitschko scared of David Haye?
They know that Haye needs this fight, as fighter and promoter, and that they can beat him in a way by ignoring him.
Haye needs to try something different. If he pissed them off and they don't want anything to do with him, before they retire gracefully, then it's time for a plan B as the other thread noted. Get back on British and American TV, blast out someone good enough/beatable enough, wow both sides of the pond, and get on with it. Things seem to have really hit a wall.

While Haye would have a massive gain for winning, look at the downside. Imagine if he was done away Herbie Hide style? That would badly affect his contracts with Setanta and Golden Boy, no?
Despite Haye's accomplishments (an elite level crusierweight), he is a blown up cruiser, he fought like a blown up cruiser v Barrett (despite impressive speed and some good power), and he could fold like a vulnerable cruiser when he faces big heavy handed men like the Klitschkos.
Christ, just wait till Povetkin's champ. Which will be soon enough. And make sure you're up in the rankings, so keep busy fighting, Hayemaker. Haye's one of the great risk takers in British boxing but I don't like to see a top fighter out of action for so long, with possibly nothing gained from it.
Surely what Haye did at EBU level at cruiser is the way to go. Haye did a GREAT job there, learned what he needed to learn, got the ranking and won the big fights.

Klitschko is taking the piss or can you lot not see that? He's making Haye sweat, Haye needs Wlad not the other way round. Haye got under Wlads skin and now Wlad is messing Haye about, it's all about mind games. 8)

Is Wlad scared? Not sure, it's possible, though I doubt it
Should he be? No

yep, i'm with banjo on this one as well
I don't think Wlad is scared.....he certainly wasn't soiling his pants when Haye confronted him....he was remarkably calm....
in the ring....Wlad will fight scared cos that is how he fights....he doesn't really let the punches flow until his opponent has nothing left.....

Re: Is Wladimir Klitschko scared of David Haye?
I will also state at some stage in the negoitiations Hayemaker have lost the upper hand in securing the fight for David Haye.
I am extremely dissapointed Hayemaker have even stated they would go to Germany to have the fight and in addition even offered 2 further fights over there - no chance no way that for me - and it is showing your hand a little too much and pangs a tadge of desperation of wanting the fight too much - The fight should be in the UK - Haye needs to build on his support in this country.
K2 are not stupid they know David Haye is a talent to be reckoned with and as such Hayemaker should not sell themselves short in the negoitiations - Haye is worthy of respect and Setanta and Hayemaker should now have a rethink and go for another opponent.
B*llocks to the Klitschko's - go for someone else and let the Klitschkos stew over a missed opportunity instead of completely giving everything up in a desperation to get the fight on - next thing we will be hearing "David will fight for free" and lets face it thats when the hype will get silly.

I think they are certainly wary of him. Haye seems to want the fight more then they do.

Not really sure what they have to be scared of
Hasnt done squat t HW and his fight against Monte Barratt didnt show him to have anything that the Klits havent seen and deakt with in their career
The fight will happen I feel. In the mean time Haye nees to take on someone else to build his profile

Originally I never thought that Wladimir would be scared of Haye, but while I do not believe that he is out & out scared of him, I'm beginning to think that he's very wary of him.
It's probably the only truly anticipated fight in the HW division at the moment & if he is the annoying big mouth that Wladimir & his brother claim him to be, why not fight him & beat him?
