To be honest, having a tax bill is nothing to worry about, he netted about $50M in a few short years - apparently he has no mortgagaes on his vast properties so I think it is fair to say he can pay the bill, but why not relax for a year or 2 to build interest and come back and make another $20-30M for 2 fights?

His public persona is that of a prize jackass but I think its an act.

Still, it will be good to see him back!

He would destroy Pacman and he would destroy Hatton...again.

Floyd easily beats both. 6 mill isn't much tax when he's made 50 mill!

I think the best fight out there but definetly the most dangerous for PBF would be JMM that would be a great fight and the winner could fight the winner of the Pac Hatton fight

Sounds like PBF is bleeding money, with his lifestyle he will need to fight twice a year. He likely has a huge entourage helping him spend his dough.

He'll end up skint, the Taxman will ave im like so many others.

I really do not think he will end up potless - in the states they sbumit their tax themselves...everyone! ( if I remember rightly)..

They do not pay it at source when they make $10M etc - Bowe did not have this problem beause he paid as soon as the funds cleared but most just submit when due.

He has made around $100M from Boxing and I doubt he can not pay a $6M tax bill.

Could be something as simple as an accounting error.

I doubt PBF needs the money really. But he wouldn't say no to a bit more!

The tax bill was last year and about $6.5mil. These gambling losses, unless they are like $30mil or something, I don't think he needs to worry.

Still, PBF VS Hatton at LWW would be good - shame they are both past their primes now, but not by RJJ standards or anything, so should still be a good fight. RH would have to be a bit more determined and focussed this time round to stand a chance though.

Hatton has NO CHANCE!

He at his supposed peak struggled with Urango, PBF is a major talented fighter, elite.

Hatton is a one trick Pony and not that smart on the ring.

He gets stopped earlier this time. I hope it does not happen, wpuld rather see PBF vs PAcman ( 2 natrual Ligtweights) and befoire anyone says it, I am SURE PBF who walks around at 10st 10 can get down to 9st 10 if he wantd to, but as he said
'Size means nothing - skills wins fights.

And sorry, Pacman does not have half the skills of PBF.

PBF VS GUZMAN ( if Guzman sorts himself out)!

This is an old story. It surfaced in a Grand Rapids paper a few weeks ago and it stated that he has often had loud tax demands but he never failed to pay.

A Hatton-Mayweather rematch without a firm but fair referee would be an interesting fight. We never saw how Mayweather would deal with Hatton's relentless style, because Hatton was denied the opportunity of applying it. In my view, Hatton would also have been knocked out by Tszyu and Collazo if a firm but fair referee had officiated.

And Dq'd against Urango if Richie Davies were involved!

His performance (holding) against Urango was 10 times worse than Barney and even Akinwande against Lennox.

PBF forced to fight up close would have stopped Hatton even sooner.

No offence, i'm from the UK Btw, but personally i rather see Pac-Floyd than Floyd-Hatton 2.
The Re-match would be pointless. i mean if it was a close bout, then fair enough, but come on, Hatton was KO'd.

Im no Hatton fan, but I disagree that he was outclassed by Mayweather. I thought they both fought crap, and yes the ref didn't help the flow of the fight. Mayweather would very probably win a rematch but I dont think it is an impossibility for Hatton to gain a victory. For much of the fight there was nothing between them; both were rubbish. And in that context I agree with those that think it would be interesting to see whether Hatton could have more success without a seemingly biased ref.

It's a mismatch either way, only reason to make either fight is for money, Hatton and Pacquiao are so predictable and Floyd would take both apart with relative ease.

They said the same about Leonard before he came back against Norris. 24 months (whcih is what it's looking like now) is a long time for a fighter that relies that much on their reflexes and movement.

I'd pick Pacman to beat him. Not Hatton though.

Possibly, I forgot about the possibility of "ring rust" or what ever they call it.Image

I read online somewhere that Floyd started sparring in the last few days.

I don't have any strong urge to watch Mayweather v Hatton II as Mayweather is good enough to find 10 different ways to win if he has to. At least the 2 biggest fights for him are against light welters (plus JMM shortly) so hopefully he'll be dragged back down to LWW.
I don't think having to lose the weight will be too much of a disadvantage though, it's probably the division he should have stayed in as he was never real WW. In fact it will be a relief to get out of a division with the likes of Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, (maybe) Williams and Berto.

If FMJ coems back I wonder how ring rusty or past prime he'll be, he may not be the same fighter. If he fights Hatton again it maybe easier because hes seen Hatton's style before and knows what works against it. He might just turn up the heat early and stop Ricky mid rounds
