Will we see a Fury KO? not just a refs stoppage.
3 fights and Fury hasn't floored anyone with a head punch.
Will we see Swaby actually land one on Fury's chin?

Yes, but he gave Chisora a good fight!BIGMARK wrote:not a bad test but didnt Swaby lose to Chisora recently i think by KO? i guess i could always go and checkDG. wrote:This saturday, will Swaby do an Enzo on him?
If that version turns up we may see TIMBEEEERRRRRRRRRRR!
TF is certainly moving forward quickly!
Re: Tyson Fury Vs Lee Swaby on Saturday!
I would be surprised if swaby came to win or even if he is aloud to win. Imaginbe if he won no one would use him again.DG. wrote:This saturday, will Swaby do an Enzo on him?

What has Swaby got to lose?
If he were to win there would be a decent amount of money in a return or move him up the ratings and out of the journeyman mode.

Exactly, Swaby is a good fighter when he wants to be...even now!
Re: Tyson Fury Vs Lee Swaby on Saturday!
Oh my God, I love Tyson's progress. I can't wait to see this fight now.
Well done Mick and Tyson.

Well done Mick and Tyson.
Re: Tyson Fury Vs Lee Swaby on Saturday!
3 fights and then Swaby - someone who will come to fight, and to win. I am in favour of it.
Fury KO 4

Fury KO 4

Don't be so stupid! do you really think Hennesy will go into Swaby's dressing room and tell him he is not 'allowed' to win

So far i'd say Fury is on the same track opponent wise as Chisora was at 4 fights, he faced Paul Butlin in his 4th one

Good opponent for Tyson. Well done to Mick for getting him Swaby and at last Tyson can face some British opposition!
Re: Tyson Fury Vs Lee Swaby on Saturday!
After just 3 fights, Swaby is reasonable opposition.
Re: Tyson Fury Vs Lee Swaby on Saturday!
Good fight! Ambitious as ever from Fury, can see it bein decent and I think Swaby has a chance, he has a big punch and Fury hasnt taken a decent dig yet. Will be very watchable anyway!

Lee's not been the same at heavy, that said it's a very good match up.

I just hope he is a slightly better version than the walking punch bags that Fury has faced so far. I'd actually like his opponent to try and hit him for a change
Am i asking too much ?

Quixall, I don't know about you, but I am happy with Zeller (who did give it a go) and Swaby as opponents for anybody with the amount of pro fights that young Tyson has had. At leats he isn't fighting people with records of 15/120 or 3/35.

Re: Tyson Fury Vs Lee Swaby on Saturday!
Good test for Fury at an early stage. Swaby is a warrior, but will be giving away huge height/reach/weight. He is a cruiserweight when it comes down to it.
I just hope the ref let`s it go a bit and not jump in the first time a few decent shots land. I have seen far too many fights lately where the "Prospect" has won by stoppage when the other guy is not really in any trouble. The Southerland fight being a good example. I`m not saying that the opponent should be spark out before being stopped, but in Swaby`s case, he has a punchers chance until he is knocked out.
British refs seem to stop it far too early compared to the U.S and Europe
Take the Earl v Katsidis fight. Earl was taking a real hammering (far worse than any of teh "prospects" opponents) and the towel even came in at one point. Mickey Vann threw the towel out and then Earl almost sparked Katsidis within 20 seconds of the towel being rejected (a great single shot). Ok, Katsidis went on to give him a furtehr hiding, but this is boxing, not ballet and what makes it so exciting is the "punchers chance". It only takes 1 second and 1 shot.

Re: Tyson Fury Vs Lee Swaby on Saturday!
Yeah its a hard one for ref's to call, some would point out that Earl has suffered two 1st round KO losses straight after the Katsidis fight, maybe the prolonged damage he took after the towel was thrown out took its toll on Earl
Re: Tyson Fury Vs Lee Swaby on Saturday!
good tv exposure for lee swaby too, he was on prozefighter and did not disgrace himself, i hope he gets a cheeky purse for this one too as it will be on live tv.
Re: Tyson Fury Vs Lee Swaby on Saturday!
Swaby is a good fighter, but his fight with Chisora was poor. The ref at one point told them "People have paid good money to see this, now make a fight of it!" (Or similar.)
I think he cut his eye.
Yeah, a decent fight for Tyson Fury at this stage.

Re: Tyson Fury Vs Lee Swaby on Saturday!
I think people are underestimating Fury. YEs he can look a little arm-punchy and awkward and it seems like he isn't the biggets puncher or in fantastic shape.
But I looked at his last fight after everyone has slated him, and I thought he looked quite good. THe guy didn't get near him.
I think he will stop Swaby in 3.
