Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
I dont expect them to fight until they have both had at least 8 fights, so I think a big part of it will be down to their development. Who can get their fitness up to a good standard quicker, who can have one of those fights where they have to show a plan B and not just either knock someone clean out our cruise easily to a points win because their opponent doesnt punch back.
I think Price will go on to be more succesful, but at the same time how they are matched and trained will be a big factor also.

Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
I'm liking both guys, Price has power and fitness, Fury has the chin(supposedly) and the speed and a cool name.
At the mo i'd pick Fury because he has decent enough power and has the confidence to exploit Price's chin, but it really is too early to pick after a combined 5 fights.

Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Thought about this last night when watching Price.
At the moment I would say Tyson Fury - Price albeit yes he has only had the one fight looks as if he has a lot more work to do on his style etc etc - where as Tyson Fury has a very good range of shots and looks very comfortable with the Pro style.
Got to say though a worry I have for both fighters is stamina.

I'd definitely pick Price at the moment. He looks a class above Fury.
Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
They won't fight unless a domestic title is on offer down the line, at this point Price is miles ahead of Fury, it wouldn't even be close

Please explain - I am being serious because judging on last nights performance I would have argued the other way around!!!
Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Price punches with power and great technique. Fury punches with his arms. OK, Fury seems to have a better repertoire of punches, but if you're not throwing them correctly that doesn't matter. I just see Fury being beaten to the punch throughout the fight. He'll land, but it will be of no consequence.Spud wrote:What?????Coco wrote:They won't fight unless a domestic title is on offer down the line, at this point Price is miles ahead of Fury, it wouldn't even be close![]()

Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
I think at the moment Price would win he has more power uses his height better would be a great fight
Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Fury is still a relative novice whereas price has had extensive amateur grounding and extensive success. Price has shown that punch resistance at top level is a weakness, but Fury has not shown he can compete at that level and does not look to be a puncher anyway.Spud wrote:What?????Coco wrote:They won't fight unless a domestic title is on offer down the line, at this point Price is miles ahead of Fury, it wouldn't even be close![]()

Fury has massive size advantage against most fighters, and he has utilised it so far, but he does not have that against Price. I just need to poit to their amateur fight, where Fury was clearly beaten, are you saying Tyson has improved so dramatically or Price has gone back??

Saying Fury has chin and speed is using cliche's. As for Fury's power ? That's a joke, he's ground down his opponants, not bashed them out, even the punchbag he had first up who was about 5 inches and 4 stone lighter ! I've not been overwhelemed by any great speed of Fury, nor has his chin been tested. Fury is making noises about Price's chin, but is there anything to substantiate his claims other than a clip he gave Price in the amatures which Fury seems to be blowing completely out of proportion.
Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Price is miles ahead of Fury.
Fury is a novice, five years younger than Price, with a fraction of his experience, skill and power.
The only real question marks about Price are chin and stamina - there are question marks over everything with Fury.
If they fought now, Price would knock Fury out (if Fury did not knock himself out first!)

Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Pricey has far better technique and far more power..Also a much better defence too!! Price would capatalise on Furys low hands and arm punches..Pricey has perfect footwork for a big man he really does!!! Immense power too!! Can anyone tell me if anyone has ever left Ingleby face down like that before?? I know Fury couldn't leave that kid who was about 13st and 5 inches smaller that way!!
Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Hard to say, but its a fight that I just can't see ever happening. One of them I think will get beat, quite badly, before the two get a chance to meet in the ring.
Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Price has far better coordination. Fury obviously has had more fights as a pro.

Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Was very impressed with Pricey last night. Started the fight very positively and was in TOTAL control until close till the end of the second at which point he looked like he was tiring considerably. I think the punch that was landed on Pricey when the ref told them to stop fighting galvanised the big fella into one big effort to get him out of there, which he duly delivered.
I was also impressed with his body punches, the noise and the sheer power of them when they were landing made me wince at times for the other fella.
All in all a decent nights work for his pro debut. I have got to agree with the people on here though, his stamina is something that will need to be looked into and improved upon if hes going to go much further.

Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Liked the way he slowed himself down from the start, was like he was trying to get some rounds in.
Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Price was enjoying Himself, and Taking His time. I was impressed how He went about it.
Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Price is more talented but seems to have a worse chin, ergo I think Fury will do just a little bit better. Good to see two promising young British heavies coming through at once though, I have to say. I hope they both do well.

First guy Fury fought looked 5 ft 8
Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
my thoughts entirely, price has the pedigree but not the punch resistance, fury has mediocre pedigree so far, but looks the more rounded educated pro. but lets look again when price has had 3 or 4 fights.glahn wrote:Price is more talented but seems to have a worse chin, ergo I think Fury will do just a little bit better. Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
Price Has the Pedigree, because He has been in a better class, and are found out easier
DD . Some of His Amatuer results are outstanding no more no less.

Re: SUPER HEAVIES PRICE OR FURY
complete balls, you cant tell after one fight, yes price was a good amateur, yes he has a questionable chin, yes fury is doing ok...DG. wrote:Agree..Asterix wrote:I'd definitely pick Price at the moment. He looks a class above Fury.
but against a limited opponent, price got caught a few times, showed an immaturity and ignorance of the pro game with the gum shield saga, and was wobbled for his troubles.
cracking KO punch i might add.
