Tyson Fury- you're his promoter choose his next 5 opponents
after all the criticism following the ellis fight lets have a go at choosing the opponents, this is asuming that they would fight him, which from what ive heard is the biggest problem his promoter has, bear in mind hes 20 at 6 round level who would you like to see him fight next, these are my five uk based opponents at 6 or 8 rounds,
keith long- will give tyson rounds, which is what he needs
kevin mcbride-battle with tyson conqueror, is he still active?
chris burton-big guy,battle of giants
tom dallas- young unbeaten fighter
michael sprott- former british champ
these fights would give him the experience he needs and if he carries on fighting as regularly as he has , which i really like him for, he'd of boxed all of these by christmas, great to see a prospect fighting regularly, tired of seeing prospects boxing twice a year!
then id step him up to international /10 rounders, for a couple, before a british title shot

I agree!
Re: Tyson Fury- you're his promoter choose his next 5 opponents
6th - Matt Skelton
7th - Hasim Rahman
8th - Nicolay Valuev
9th - Vitali Klitschko
10th - King Kong
Perhaps people will be happy with his progress then.
I don't know why he gets critisised at all - he's a breathe of fresh air.
Come on Tyson lad.

come on dioufy, everyone knows King Kong is shot to bits nowadays he would get no credit on here for beating KK
Re: Tyson Fury- you're his promoter choose his next 5 opponents
No one should be critised like he has in their first five fights, unless it's against useless Gorgians with 2-45 records. It's silly, and it's even more silly when Tyson has predominately fought guys with winning records. Excellent progress I think.
Re: Tyson Fury- you're his promoter choose his next 5 opponents
I'd stick him in with a round of sparring with David Haye, that'll end his career.

@ dioufy
I think its MH's fault. The stupid press releases, the hyperbole, etc
'The most exciting heavyeight since Mike Tyson'. Somebody should send that memo to Haye, Bowe, Morrison, Holyfield etc
I dont mind Tyson to be honest. I have only seen him once and he used a jab and loked to have decent fundamentals. He also looked in decent shape
Its Hennessey that gets my goat. Poeple like John Murray and Witter twiddling their thumbs whilst Fury gets a fight and a payday eevry other day it seems. Not Fury's problem I know. Right now he is big news but I wonder what would happen ( hypotheticaaly) if MH got hold of a Pakistani power puncher from Bradford in the mould of Naseem. Would that mean Fury gets left on the shelf?

Yeah, that's a good point. Murray and Witter should me out ever few months, not once every ten months.

Re: Tyson Fury- you're his promoter choose his next 5 opponents
Tyson is doing well and deserves plenty of support. He needs a bit more of a test than last nights opponent gave him. I dont think the poor bugger landed one punch. He doesnt need to be rushed though. He will still be a young HW ten years from now. He needs to get some rounds in against decent fighters he can learn something from. I dont mind who he fights as long as he gets the right experiance. Looking to be British champion by the end of the year to me is a bit too soon.

Good on paper record. Lost a 6 rounder to an ancient Ray Mercer in his last fight, also lost to Audley in Audley's 15th fight.
2 - Danny Williams/John McDermott winner.
Go for his first title.
3 - Rogan/Sexton winner.
Continue the title advancement.
4 - Derek Chisora
5 - Matt Skelton

He seems a nice lad too. Got good manners and just seems ambitious. I see no arrogance there.
The media and some folk on here do sensationalize things he does say.
Top lad, top prospect.

I think Julis Long would be an ideal net fight. Hant fought in two months and last fight as a decision loss to fringeeeeeeeeee contender/gatekeeper Ray Austin. Has the size and the KO record to make things interesting and has been stopped enough times for Fury to be confident that he can look sensational against him.
And he would also continue the theme of fighters with positiive record

Re: Tyson Fury- you're his promoter choose his next 5 opponents
zack page would be a good fight he has went the distance with sprott and mike perez.he would give big tyson a few rounds.
Re: Tyson Fury- you're his promoter choose his next 5 opponents
If I was his manager, I make his next five opponents durable types with no name that have NO CHANCE OF WINNING.
All this talk of a British title in a couple of fights is simply absurd, and shows a abject lack of boxing understanding.
First, they need to continue his development as a boxing and continue his development as a money making prospect.
Simple.
You don't want to put him in with experienced, hardened bangers like Danny Williams. It's just so, f\/cking idiotic that it isn't even worth talking about.

Not being funny but if Rogan beats Sexton, he's gonna be looking for bigger fish to fry than Fury.Cannibal wrote:1 - Richel Hersisia

That's David Price.Dioufy wrote:He seems a nice lad too. Got good manners and just seems ambitious. I see no arrogance there.

Fury is the disrespectful obnoxious gobshite.
Re: Tyson Fury- you're his promoter choose his next 5 opponents
Out of all his interviews I have seen, he's never been obnoxious. All the reports of him slagging everyone off to a shameful degree has come from other people. I would love to for someone to show me a clip of him being arrogant.
I am not saying he hasn't been, but I haven't seen it.
Price is a good lad too.

Why!!! Hes a kid, he hasnt even had his 21st yet. You dont have to do things as quickly as his namesake did. If he takes his time and avoids the decent names for a while he will have far greater success. Five fights and you want to put him in with the likes of Rogan and Skelton thats just crazy.Cannibal wrote:1 - Richel Hersisia

Ive heard bad things about him but he carries himself well on TV and he has a genuine likability factor.
David Price is an absolute gent tho.
Re: Tyson Fury- you're his promoter choose his next 5 opponents
I tend to judge people on how I see them, and to be honest, he's very likable. People like to make mountains out of molehills.
Re: Tyson Fury- you're his promoter choose his next 5 opponents
It would be nice to see someone have a go at cleaning up domestically.
