“At the start, Pryor went after Hart and appeared to win the first round. In the second he continued to press the attack, scoring the first knockdown after 20 seconds. Hart went down again with less than two minutes left. The challenger was staggered in the third, but stayed on his feet. He fought back to make his best showing. He rallied again in the fourth, but then began absorbing punches and lost his mouthpiece. Hart’s knees buckled from a punch early in the fifth, but Pryor could not put him away. Hart recovered and snapped back Pryor’s head with two good lefts. Hart landed a punch to open the sixth, but Pryor came back with a right hook that dropped him for the count of 8. Pryor then swarmed all over his foe, driving him to a corner and landing at will. The fight was stopped 51 seconds into the round.”
