- Date: 1970-04-07
- Location: Honolulu International Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA
- Referee: Wilbert Minn
"Adolph Pruitt, Los Angeles, scored a spectacular TKO over Miguel Barreto, New York, in the 2nd round of a scheduled 10 rounder. After an even 1st round, the fighters came out swinging. Barreto proved strong and backed Pruitt a couple of times with body punches. It looked certain that Pruitt was in for a tough evening. And then it happened. Pruitt exploded a left hook to the jaw. Barreto fell flat on his back. He got up at the count of four. But he was still in a daze. Pruitt's follow up was too much and referee Wilbert Minn stopped the fight." -Ring Magazine, July 1970 issue
