"Adolph Pruitt, the WBA's No. 1 ranking junior welterweight, dropped Oscar (Shotgun) Albarado for an eight count in the 10th round and went on to win a unanimous decision Tuesday night. Albarado, 145 1/4, appeared to be rallying in the 8th and 9th rounds when he walked into a right by Pruitt who weighed 145 3/4, at the start of the final round." -United Press International
