Managed Joe Gans.

Real name Abraham Lincoln Herford, he also had a brother Maurice J. Herford. He was the manager of the Eureka Athletic Club, in Baltimore, MD. Also one of the proprietors of the same club (which was leasing Front Street Theatre for its boxing bouts), together with Hugo C. Bernstein, Lewis S. Cleveland, Edward Herford, Lewis Mandelbaum, Larry Emerich and William Eichberg. (Source: Baltimore's The Sun).
