Al Kubiak was a member of the Philadelphia Police department from 1916 until his death in 1925. New York Times 12 May 1925.

According to a widely-circulated wire report in March of 1917, Kubiak was taken violently ill while walking his beat and sent to Philadelphia's Northwest General hospital. While there he attacked two nurses with his fists and was placed under strict observation.
