Career Review

Al Stankie was a former Los Angeles police officer. After his boxing career, he became the manager and trainer of 1984 Olympic Light Flyweight Gold Medalist Paul Gonzales. Stankie also trained Ultimate Fighting Champion Vitor Belfort in boxing. Following Belfort's stunning knockout over Tank Abbott in a UFC promotion, Belfort called Stankie into the ring and praised him for all his help.
