  • Location: Royal Albert Hall, Kensington, London, United Kingdom
  • Referee: Harry Gibbs

"English bantamweight Alan Rudkin scored a 7th round TKO over Kiichi Tsuganezawa Tuesday night when the referee stopped the bout to save the Japanese from further punishment. Rudkin took a round and a half to warm up, but after that he dictated the fight and Tsuganezawa was reduced to a veritable punching bag. With Rudkin having won every completed round and Tsuganezawa standing helpless in mid-ring, referee Harry Gibbs stopped the bout after 55 seconds of the 7th." -United Press International
