At age 39, Ustinov goes to 33-1 and still hoped for a world title opportunity. His only loss was for the European Heavyweight title to Kubrat Pulev. Ustinov was originally scheduled to fight Samuel Peter, however Peter pulled out without explanation. Peter was replaced by Alonzo Butler, unfortunately Butler also pulled out without explanation. Konstantin Airich replaced both fighters, taking the fight with a few days notice.
