"WBA featherweight champion Alexis Arguello of Nicaragua, scored a 2nd round knockout over Rosalio Muro of Mexico Friday night in a non-title bout at the Cow Palace. Muro was dropped by a short left hook to the chin two minutes into the opening round. Muro held on until the end of the round, then went down in the 2nd round, got on his feet and was waved to a finish after a withering attack with nine seconds left." -United Press International
