- Nestor was initially scheduled to fight Eduardo Calderon, but the latter failed his physical on fight day. Lemaire stepped in on a few hours notice.
- Lemaire injured his right hand in round 1 when Nestor blocked one of his punches with his elbow. From that point on, Lemaire only threw punches with his left hand.
- Nestor's domination of the ensuing action was such that Lemaire's corner stopped the fight between the second and third rounds.
