Bout Summary
Darrell Woods took this fight on eleven days' notice. Woods was down from a right hand at :21 into round one, taking an eight-count. When action continued Green went in to finish the fight. He landed big combinations with relative ease. Woods was hurt by several punches before backing against the ropes and grabbing his opponent. Green then landed a huge straight right at 1:00 into round one that turned Woods sideways against the ropes. Referee Gerald Ritter stepped in and stopped the bout as Woods was on the ropes, mounting no offense and unable to defend against Green's big shots. This was the sixth time that Allan Green won by first Round KO. It too was the second time that Darrell Woods lost by first round KO.
