Almer Williams

According to the October 17, 1932 Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspaper, dateline Houston, Texas, (amateur?) boxer Almer Williams (the "White Ghost"), 16, committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol. He was wearing only his boxing trunks and apparently left a note saying: "Bury me as I am."
