"Alvaro 'Indian Yaqui' Lopez of Stockton won the sheduled 10 round main event over Pete McIntyre of Los Angeles when referee Mario Duccini stopped the fight after five rounds. McIntyre was still sitting on his corner stool when the bell rang to start the 6th round and he was unable to answer it. Lopez took charge of an even fight in the last minute of the 5th round. He shook McIntyre repeatedly in the 5th with rights to the chin. Once he had McIntyre hurt, he bumped and jostled him in an attempt to get inside. There were no knockdowns." -Nevada State Journal
