- Molina cut left eye from punch in 1st.
- Molina's cut deteriorated as the fight wore on and the 27-year-old continued to take punishment whilst landing few, well timed counter punches, But generally struggled with Khan's Speed and Reach. By the midway point had no answer for Khan's measured bursts.
- Referee Jack Reiss suggested his corner pull him out at the end of the ninth. After the end of 10th Molina's corner finally decided it had seen enough.
- Khan's first fight after under Virgil Hunter (having changed trainers -from Freddie Roach- after the Garcia loss)
