Anders Haga drew with Rolf Marthinsen by PTS in round 6 of 6
- Date: 1959-09-11
- Location: Trondheim, Norway
It was a fight for "The Norwegian Featherweight title" when Anders Haga and Rolf Martinsen engaged in a 6 round brawl. They were the country's only featherweights, but the 3000 at the Lerkendal Stadium didn't care much for that title. (They had turned up to see Ingemar Johansson box exhibitions with his brother Rolf and two local amateur heavyweights.)
Rolf Martinsen was faster and more stylish than Anders Haga. The drawn verdict left the country without a Featherweight champion. It was to be the last pro card in Norway for 4 years.
42 years were to elapse before two Norwegians faced each other in a pro ring again. In 2001 light heavyweights Thomas Hansvoll andOle Klemetsen fought in Denmark.
