Andrey Kostin 118 lbs beat Ravil Mukhamadiyarov 117 lbs by UD in round 8 of 8

Championship federation for Baltic area´s professional boxers, Baltic Boxing Union, got its first Russian champion late on Friday evening at Vyborg, Russia. The fight for vacant BBU Bantamweight championship between Russians Andrey Kostin and Ravil Mukhamadiarov was scheduled for 8 rounds as the main event of the show promoted by Oleg Bogdanov.

During the whole fight Vyborg-living Kostin was quicker and hitting harder punches than durable Mukhamadiarov. In the second round Mukhamadiarov was cutted over his left eye. The fight was well-paced till the end and especially Kostin hitting frequently both to body and to head of his opponent. In the seventh round Mukhamadiarov was penalized one point for ducking by Estonian referee Yuri Tamm.

Judges´ scores were 80-71, 80-72 and 80-73 all for 32 years old Kostin.
