- Smith stated in the post fight interview: "I expected to go ten rounds. Andrew, he's a great fighter. I worked real hard, trained harder than I ever have in my life. Each fight I'm working harder and harder. I came here (Chicago) today to prove a point, that I belong in here with the best, and I proved it. He's fought the best fighters in the world, and no one's dominated him the way I have. When I see somebody hurt, I am a finisher. I expected to get that win tonight. Once I seen him hurt, I was determined to get him out. There's nothing stopping me from doing that."
