"Light heavyweights Andy Kendall, 176, of Scappoose, Ore., and Larry Buck, 173, of Seattle battled to a 10 round draw Thursday night in the main event at the Seattle Center Coliseum. There were no knockdowns, but referee Jimmy Rondeau had to step in four times as the fighters kept punching after the bell. Rondeau said he penalized Buck twice for the tactic. After the fight, Mike Morton, Kendall's manager, disagreed with the judges and said if there is to be a rematch in Seattle he wants at least one out of state judge." -United Press International
