"Andy Kendall, of Portland, Ore., scored a TKO over Lino Rendon of Las Vegas in the 7th round of the 'Strip Fight of the Week.' Rendon, 172, failed to answer the bell for the 8th round, after the attending physician examined his left hand and found that he had severely injured it in about the 4th round. Rendon said he could not continue because of the pain. Kendall, 175, opened a cut over Rendon's left eye in the 1st round and it bled through most of the fight." -United Press International
