Angel Del Villar won the 1982 New York Golden Gloves Heavyweight Sub-Novice Championship. Del Villar stopped(RSC-1) Demetrius Antonatos of the Beacon Recreation in the finals to win the Championship. Del Villar trained at the Times Square Athletic Club in New York City.
