Anuj Kumar Singh
Anuj Kumar Singh is a pioneering professional boxer recognized as Maharashtra’s first professional boxer. Born in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh, and based in Mumbai, he has built a strong reputation through his achievements in professional boxing and sports.
He is the UBO International Champion (October 8, 2019), becoming the first Indian to win the Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) International Super Featherweight title. Singh secured the title after defeating Ramadhan Chiligiati at the Che Kwa Che Hall in Bagamoyo, Tanzania.
As of early 2026, his professional record stands at 8 wins and 3 losses, including an impressive streak of 6 consecutive victories.
Anuj has trained under the guidance of Coach Rajan Jothady, whose mentorship and support have played an important role in shaping his professional boxing journey and competitive success.
Beyond boxing, Singh has contributed to the entertainment industry, working in Bollywood and assisting actor Farhan Akhtar in preparing for a national-level boxer role in Toofaan, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. He also worked as a co-actor for the film featuring Paresh Rawal and Mrunal Thakur.
