Moore took the first two rounds, with Smith coming back to take the 3rd and 4th round. In the 5th and specfically the 6th, Moore hurt Smith with right hands shots. The two fought an even 7th, before Smith began to fight from the outside, where he was able to land right hands of his own. By the 10th, Moore's left eye was almost completely swollen shut. Overall, Smith appeared to close stronger than Moore in the bout.
