"Armando Muniz of Los Angeles and Houston's Manny Gonzalez not only had the crowd of 2,500 eating out of their hands last night at the Tucson Community Center Arena, they had the fans standing on their feet and throwing money into the ring - the highest tribute boxing fans pay their favorites. Muniz scored a 10 round decision over Gonzalez. The fight was so popular that promoter Tony Flores entered the ring immediately after the decision was announced and asked for and got a verbal agreement from both camps for a rematch this summer." -Tucson Daily Citizen
