"Art Hafey, San Diego, got off the canvas in the 4th round and went on to score a 10th round knockout over Rodolfo Moreno of El Paso, Texas, at the Olympic Auditorium Thursday night. Hafey, a transplanted Canadian, knocked Moreno out with a vicious left hook at 1:45 of the 10th. Although he went down from a body punch in the 4th, Hafey was leading on all three scorecards when the knockout came. Both fighters were battered at the end. Hafey's left eye was completely closed from the 6th round on while Moreno's left eye was closed from the 5th round on. Moreno's nose bled the last six rounds." -United Press International
