Art Lasky vs. Lee Ramage
Art Lasky 192 lbs beat Lee Ramage 186 lbs by PTS in round 10 of 10
- Date: 1934-03-20
- Location: Olympic Auditorium, Los Angeles, California, USA
- Referee: Abe Roth
"Art Lasky of Minneapolis, had another victory added to his string of triumphs today but his 10-round decision over Lee Ramage proved he still is a good many jumps away from the position of a logical heavyweight contender. At least 11,000 who filled the Olympic Auditorium voiced that opinion with lusty boos when referee Abe Roth raised Lasky's hand. After being in a bad way in the 7th because of Lasky's body attack, the San Diego youth staged an impressive comeback to win the 9th by a wide margin and the 10th by a shade. There were no knockdowns. Lasky was unable to catch up with Ramage and nail him with a KO punch. In fact, Ramage had more stamina left at the finish. He cut Lasky's right eye in the 8th and kept it bleeding profusely from that point on." - Associated Press
