Notes

  • Maderna was unable to make weight on his first attempt, coming in at 177.2 lbs. As per Quebec rules, he was allowed two hours to weight-in again and he tipped the scales at 175 lbs exactly on his second attempt.
  • Maderna down twice in round 3. After the second knockdown, he spits out his mouth guard and is penalized one point by the referee for doing so.
  • Beterbiev knocks down Maderna twice more early in round 4 before the latter's corner throws in the towel.
  • With the win, Beterbiev becomes the first boxer to successfully defend the NABA Light Heavyweight title on three occasions.
