"Ugandan junior middleweight Ayub Kalule had an easy time in Denmark when he stopped highly regarded Columbian Bonifacio Avila in the 3rd round. Kalule staggered Avila late in the 3rd round with a right hook. Kalule then swarmed all over Avila, battering him with both hands. In taking the battering, Avila sustained a deep gash over his right eyebrow. Between rounds, the referee stopped the fight." -World Boxing, May 1978 issue
