It took many rounds for Krogh to figure out Algerian-born Belouard who pressed forward against the counterpunching, sidestepping Dane. Eventually, Krogh's left jabs hit home and a tremenduos rally by the German- based fitnesswonder Belouard in rounds 9 and 10 was not enough to turn the tables.

The hardest puncher I've ever met, Krogh wrote in his 1967- autobiography. I was in good shape despite flu and a throat infection, but even if I won, I was not satisfied with my showing. Belouard never lost his balance.

"Not the best we have seen of Krogh ", wrote Borge Munk Jensen in the paper BT.
