The Spaniard Pedro Carrasco won the EBU lightweight title from Danish title holder Borge Krogh. The fight was stopped at the end of the 8th round. By then Krogh had cuts on his left and right eyebrows.
Carrasco dominated the fight from the start with aggressive two fisted attacks. Krogh never got to use his eminent skills as counter puncher and was clearly behind on points.
