Børge Krogh vs. Tei Dowe
" Aalborg Stifstidende " wrote: " No one thought much of the Ghanian and when Krogh in the 2nd drove his chocolate-brown foe on his heels, many felt it was a matter of seconds before the fight was over. But Dowe shook off the effects and started to play his own game. He displayed a rich repertoire of straight pucnhes and hooks. Börge Krogh was visibly troubled. In his efforts to finish the fight with rights, he missed more than he usually does, and in the 3rd and 4th he had to cover behind a double guard to withstand African firearms. Börge Krogh came back and kept Dowe wisely on the distance and both 5th, 6th and 7th were even rounds. In the 8th, three sucessive Krogh rights went home and gave him the round. The 9th was even and the 10th which followed was sensational. In the last minute Börge Krogh's right hit home, knocking Dowe's gumshiled on the canvas, while Dowe stumbled backwards chased by Krogh. Three more punches hit Dowe who was shaken badly. But then the bell sounded, and Dowe flashed a smile. His cornermen ran to embrace him."
A fair verdict, Krogh wrote in his autobiography.
