Baby La Paz was one of the dominant Cuban welters during the 1930s. His brother Jose was national middleweight champion and Baby held the Cuban welterweight title. La Paz--also called Baby de la Paz--was a good boxer with fair power who traveled South American and the Caribbean extensively.
