- Location: Sparta Stadium, Chicago, Illinois, USA
- Referee: Dave Barry
"Barney Ross, young Chicago lightweight, outslugged Ray Miller, Chicago veteran left-hooker, to score a one-sided victory in a 10 round bout tonight. Ross, faster and unawed by Miller's left hook, floored his opponent with the latter's favorite blow in the 1st round, for no count, and staggered him in the 6th with a left to the body and a right to the chin. Ross weighed 133 pounds, a half-pound less than Miller." -Associated Press
