Fred Leidle was the brother of Young Dempsey of Helena MT.

• Acquitted of a Volstead Act violation in Jan 1926.
• In August 1927 Leidle, while operating a circular saw, suffered bad cuts to his left hand. He developed blood poisoning, had his forearm amputated, but died the next day of Tetanus (lockjaw)
