Beau Jack 138 lbs lost to Del Flanagan 139 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10
- Date: 1951-01-18
- Location: Auditorium, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
- Referee: Britt Gorman
"A pumping left hand gave Del Flanagan, 139 1/4, of St. Paul, a unanimous decision over Beau Jack, 138 1/2, of Atlanta, Ga. over 10 rounds tonight. The St. Paul Irishman kept that left hand in Jack's face throughout the fight. Twice Beau, the former lightweight champion, staggered Del with a sweeping left hook to the body, but Flanagan boxed and danced his way clear each time. Del started Jack's nose bleeding in the 1st round and raised a mouse on the Atlantan's left eye midway in the bout. Occasionally Flanagan stood up to the former champion, but not for long, as Jack's powerful punches drove him back." -Associated Press
