Benjamin Field Arena is a former boxing arena located in Tampa, Florida in the West Tampa neighborhood. The area around the arena was originally known as Benjamin Field, after it's donation by George Benjamin, one of the founders of West Tampa. It originally was used as a park, before becoming an airfield in the early 1910s. A wooden boxing arena was constructed on the grounds in the early 1920s, and would become the regular location for the staging of popular boxing matches in Tampa until 1941. It was eventually determined that the National Guard who used the facility, needed a larger facility. A new facility Fort Homer W. Hesterly Armory was opened on December 8, 1941, which replaced the Benjamin Field Arena.
