  • Gaudet was originally scheduled to fight Feliciano Dario Azuaga Ledezma, who was replaced by Antequera two weeks before the fight.
  • Gaudet cautiously controlled the fight in the first two rounds, before finding the range starting in round 3.
  • Gaudet completely dominated rounds 4 to 8, landing a number of left hooks and overhand rights to the head of Antequera, who fought on bravely.
  • Antequera penalized one point in round 9 for low blows.
  • Gaudet penalized one point for hitting after the break in round 10.
  • Gaudet was penalized another point in round 11, when referee Gerry Bolen decided that Gaudet's trainer, Stephane Larouche, was voicing his criticism of Bolen's work too loudly.
