- Date: 1949-12-07
- Location: Municipal Auditorium, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA

Notes
- Docusen weighed 145; Larkin 143. Docusen, who has won most of his 67 fights, took control from the start, pounding Larkin almost at will.
- In the second round Larkin landed a couple of hefty righthanders, but he could not stop Docusen. In the fifth Docusen loosed a volley of left jabs and hooks to the jaw.
- Larkin's handlers halted the fight when the gong rang for the sixth round.
- Larkin, breathing laboredly, pleaded vainly to be allowed to go another round.
- After the fight Larkin, a right-hand puncher, told newsmen he had hurt that hand in the fourth round and again in the fifth. He displayed a badly swollen fist.
