"Wild" Bill Cunningham was a 1930s Lawrence, MA, USA sport columnist for the old Boston Post and Boston Herald, who took a particular interest in boxing. He had been a second team All-American college football center in Texas. He married Doris Wilde of Attleboro, MA--the daughter of Eben Wilde of the well-known jewelry company Baer & Wilde.
