"Billy Petrolle, 134 1/4, the 'Fargo Express,' stopped Jack 'Kid' Berg, 134, British lightweight invader, in the 5th round of their scheduled 10-round fight at Mills Stadium tonight. After hitting the floor nine times in the 1st round, Berg was on the verge of folding up in the 2nd, but managed to stick it out without leaving his feet. In the 3rd Petrolle knocked him to the floor of the ring with a right and left hook to the chin when the bell clanged, ending the round. In the 4th, Berg kept off the canvas, but he was reeling and helpless. When the 5th opened Petrolle crashed over two rights that rocked the Englishman. He was on the verge of collapse when the one-sided battle was ended by the action of his seconds throwing in the towel." -Anaconda Standard
