Bjarne Lingaas vs. J. Walach

Norwegian heavyweight Bjarne Lingaas met New York newcomer J. Walach in a 6-rounder on the second Ingemar Johansson-Floyd Patterson card. The Norwegian shook Walach in the first round with a right hand. In the second Lingaas was himself hurt by hard body punches from Walach. Lingaas tired fast and was on the receiving end in the last four rounds. Score: 4-2 in favour of Walach.
