Bjarne Lingaas beat Kurt Stroer by PTS in round 6 of 6

In Nordstrandhallen, Oslo, Norwegian heavyweight Bjarne Lingaas outpointed German Kurt Stroer (4-7-3) over 6 rounds. It was a dull fight between two upright boxers who only threw left jabs. The Norwegian tired a little in the last round but won clearly.
This was Lingaas' 8th win in 9 fights. But Norwegian newspapers now voiced doubt about the 33 year old Lingaas' future as pro. His career was going nowhere and he lacked the will to use the full power of his punch.
Lingaas had one more fight. In june 1966 in his hometown Kristiansand he again won on points over a German, the trial horse Manfred Ackers.
